The terms behind a clearer agreement.

These terms set out how shyfts.work may be used, what we are responsible for, and what we ask of you. They apply to every mentee, mentor, administrator and organisation using the platform — written to be read, not skimmed past.

Your agreement

By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or otherwise using shyfts.work, you agree to these terms. If you use the platform on behalf of an employer or education provider, you confirm you are authorised to accept them for that organisation.

Where your organisation has signed a separate written agreement with us, that agreement governs if it conflicts with anything here.
02

Accounts and access

  • Accounts are personal. Keep your credentials confidential and do not share a login with anyone else.
  • Access is granted by your organisation's administrator, and can be changed or withdrawn by them at any time.
  • You must give accurate account details and keep them current.
  • Tell us promptly at hello@shyfts.work if you believe an account has been accessed without authorisation.
  • We may suspend access where it is necessary to protect the platform, its users, or the integrity of a programme.
03

Using shyfts.work responsibly

The platform supports a learning relationship. Use it in that spirit.

  • Do not attempt to access records belonging to another person or another organisation.
  • Do not probe, scan, or interfere with the platform's security, availability, or rate limits.
  • Do not upload malicious code, unlawful material, or content you have no right to share.
  • Do not misrepresent an assessment, submission, or outcome, including passing off another person's work as your own.
  • Do not scrape, resell, or use the platform to build a competing service.
04

Your content and feedback

You keep ownership of the assessments, case studies, evidence and other material you submit. You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process and display that content so the platform can operate for you and your organisation.

  • You are responsible for having the right to submit any material you upload.
  • Programme records may be visible to your mentor and your organisation's administrators.
  • AI assistance may draft suggestions or provisional feedback; a person always reviews and decides.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback about the product, we may use them without obligation to you.
05

shyfts.work intellectual property

The platform, its interface, brand, wording, and the structure of our assessment and certification tooling belong to shyfts.work or our licensors. Nothing here transfers those rights to you.

  • You may use the platform only as permitted by these terms and your organisation's plan.
  • Do not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the platform or its materials.
  • Third-party frameworks referenced in the platform remain the property of their owners.
06

Disclaimers and limits

shyfts.work supports learning and assessment decisions; it does not replace professional judgement. Outcomes, certifications, and AI-assisted suggestions are tools for the people running a programme, not guarantees of capability, employment, or results.

  • The platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.
  • We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and maintenance may occasionally interrupt access.
  • To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data.
  • Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the fees paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded or limited.
07

Changes and ending use

  • We may update these terms as the platform changes or the law requires; the effective date above reflects the current version.
  • Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders before it takes effect.
  • You may stop using the platform at any time, and ask your administrator to close your account.
  • We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.
  • Programme records are retained and deleted in line with our Privacy notice after access ends.

Questions about these terms

If something here is unclear, ask. We would rather explain a clause than have you agree to something you do not follow.

Write to hello@shyfts.work and a person will reply.
